World's Tallest New Dog in Town!
The almost 4-foot Harlequin Great Dane "Gibson" died of bone Cancer at age 7 on August 7th this year, in Grass Valley, California.
Gibson was recognized in the Guinness Book of World Records for being the tallest dog in the world, standing at 7 feet 1 inch on his hind legs. This dogs got a triple 777. His spirit must be sprinking good luck on his owners :)
He spent his life as a therapy dog, trained to provide affection and comfort to people in need.
Well there is a new dog in town. Not to replace Mr. Gibson, but he could very well be the new contender for the title of World's Tallest Dog: also a Great Dane named George! Must be in the (G)enes! HA!
Only a couple inches shorter at 4 years old, George might "paws"ibly be the biggest cuddly king, weighing in at a good 245 pounds.
Both such beautiful and Great Danes! I think if Gibson was to meet George, he would be very pleased with the next big thing :)
