Super Late Birthday Post!

I always like taking a moment to think about Beatrix Potter and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis on this day. Such strong and fierce female figures that I am so happy to share my birthday with!

I had such a great day today! I was surrounded by family and friends enjoying some hot Mexican food and hearty good laughs at "Under The Volcano" here in London town.

Thanks to a family/friend mentioning to me how they offer an awesome gluten-free menu! It was so nice to finally have a soft corn wrap! I had the enchilada and burrito. It's great because they have little signs which state "vegetarian" and "gluten-free". I was very impressed!

I had such a wonderful day and no better way to ring in 24 :)

I got some really nice gifts and things - and I will probably mention a couple in the next few posts. Here I am at 33 weeks and 4 days pregnant on my way out the door before dinner!

My mom made a point to mention how she gave birth to me 24 years ago today, and now I am pregnant and how weird that is! I mean it's weird in a really neat way. How life goes. Cool :)

Baby Girl "Shows Arm" In My Womb :)

Watching tv and playing with baby girl at 33 weeks pregnant. :) This time, I thought I would capture a moment on my iphone. She already knows how to wave! ;)

Enjoy!

Today's Craving? Avocado Smoothie!

I love avocados and I thought it would be fitting to make it into a delicious smoothie! This is actually a popular Vietnamese and Thai drink. It is so easy to make too! Just take one ripe avocado, a bunch of ice and 3 tablespoons of condensed milk. I know it's not good for my lactose intolerant soul, but it's just soooo good for these insane dairy cravings these days!

Did you know that the avocado is a fruit and is a part of the berry family?

It's pretty tasty on, and in everything!

Pug sings "Batman"!

You've probably seen the original "Batman" dog video, and of course someone is going to fix it up to make it a million times better! I'm in love!

Enjoy!

New Love for Eminem!

Ok, so despite his crazy face job and sometimes his oh-so-hot temper that can be much of a turn-off, I am feeling Eminem a lot lately! I think he is making a fantastic come back with his songs "Not Afraid" and his new song featuring Rihanna "Love the Way you Lie"-I wish I wrote that track :)

You've come a long way "Slim Shady":)

Great production and fantastic beats... I am impressed!

I want to throw the new Rihanna song here as the video is being shot now apparently featuring Megan Fox? Who knows, we will have to wait and see. :)

Enjoy!

and his other new video for "Not Afriad" (after the commercial of course :)

The Very Hungry Caterpillar! (Antheraea Polyphemus Moth/Caterpillar)

I was going to let our two cats Beatrix and Tobias out for a little sun this afternoon, until I discovered the fat and cozy big green caterpillar, similar to the looks of Eric Carle's "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" hanging out in the backyard!

Not knowing what type of creature he was, I crowned him "The caterpillar of the future" How amazing it was to meet this little guy.

I didn't want the cats to hurt him, so I let him carry on his merry little way. I hope he finds all the apples and oranges and everything else he needs to turn into a beautiful butterfly... or moth in this case ;)

Did you know that the wingspan of these particular moths (also known as silk moths) can be 6 inches long or 15 cm? Insane big! :D

It's funny because this is the exact moth that landed on my leg when I was about 7 or 8 years old and I screamed my guts out as I thought it was biting me. At that age, this type of moth would look like a huge flying kite that was rather fuzzy and Owl-looking!

Maybe now, he reincarnated back to a caterpillar so I know all about him for his big moth debut when he comes back to visit me again :)

I thought this was interesting from Wikipedia:
"The Polyphemus Moth (Antheraea polyphemus) is a North American member of the family Saturniidae, the giant silk moths.[1] It is a tan colored moth, with an average wingspan of 15 cm (6 inches). The most notable feature of the moth is its large, purplish eyespots on its two hindwings. The eye spots are where it gets its name – from the Greek myth of the Cyclops Polyphemus. The caterpillar of the Polyphemus Moth can eat 86,000 times its weight at emergence in a little less than two months. It is widespread throughout much of North America, from southern Canada to parts of Mexico."

Quinny: Buzz 3 Stroller!

It's been a few days since I've posted and all I have to offer is my pregnancy brain! One of the first big purchases that we made was our stroller and we were looking for something that was very Euro-chic, as I just moved back from Norway and everyone was driving their Bugaboo's around.

As much as I love the Bugaboo, it was a little out of our price range - and I had many days of feeling sad, thinking; "which stroller will ever live up to that one? What will compare or complete me?".

Then one day, after some proper researching, it came to me! The Quinny Buzz 3 that is, and I won't look back at any other brand! We got it exactly as the pictured above in "Rocking Black".

The really nice thing about this stroller is that it offers automatic unfolding, so when you take it out of the trunk you just hit this clip with your foot and bam! It goes up quickly with air pressure - in a jiffy!

What was also very convienent was that I can take the big wheels off the back when I have to place it in a smaller car or storage (imagine my Mini and its trunk space) ;)

The beautiful thing about the Quinny Buzz is that when you are pushing it, it's like being in a figure skating competition, with every little wind and turn a thing of perfection. This stroller is bound to win a gold for its oh-so-easy-to-get-around-anything/anywhere-techniques. I can spin this thing into pirouettes! Lovely!

It also came with great accessories, including the wind and rain cover, along with a bug net. I love that!

Quinny is also compatible with the Maxi-Cosi Mico line of car seats, so it makes it very easy to take the little one out from a stroll in the park right into the car. I still think I need a little practice getting the seat in and out in a easy fashion, only because I am super awkward with anything and my hubby can do it no problem :)

Because owning an old-style baby carriage is considered unsafe, the closest I get to looking like something similar is the wonderful "Quinny Dreami" bassinet in the colour "Juice".

We purchased this a couple of months later. It's great because you have the option to take off the front cover, as they also offer you a super nice Quinny fleece blanket for extra warmth and extra sleepy times. The Dreami also comes with the wind and rain cover along with the bug net.

I see myself using this for nice walks around the neighbourhood to help the little girl fall asleep, so then when I bring her back into the house I can leave her in the bassinet to enjoy the rest of her nap without too much fuss. :)

I am so excited to use the Quinny Buzz 3 with the new baby. It's things like these that make harder tasks just a little bit easier :)

Check out more about Quinny and other products they offer, in a range of beautiful colours!  I promise that you won't be disappointed! I highly suggest this stroller to mothers, and mother-to-be!

You can check out the Quinny commercial to see how easy it is to use their strollers :) (below)

Who is the FIFA All-Star of 2010? Paul The Psychic Octopus!

Today, over some delicious Vietnamese dinner with the family, the fact of the German Oracle Octopus came up in the discussion. If you can wrap your head around this, Paul the Octopus can tell the future with his Psychic predictions of each game played by Germany - and this wonderful sea creature has only been wrong once - through 2 major championships! He even called that Spain would win over Germany, which the German people, naturally, didn't like so much.

I have such a fascination and respect for these animals (click and scroll down to an amazing octopus video I posted a while back), even though my first trimester made me want to puke with the very thought of one swimming on the Discovery channel.

If you wanted to know a little more about this amazing underwater sensation; check out the Top 10 list of things to know about Paul. He is pretty wonderful!

Here is a series of videos of Paul making the call! Enjoy :)

I Love HOT CHIP and Their "I Feel Better" Video Even More!

I have been loving this album but mostly for the track "I Feel Better" because the album version is amazing! I came across this video last week, and it was post worthy as I couldn't get how amazing and odd it was. I definitely suggest purchasing Hot Chip's latest album "One Life Stand"

Enjoy this wicked video (and song!), below! I suggest listening to the track alone as it is such an amazing one :)

A Great Day to Wear Orange! (Or just be Dutch!)

I didn't rock Orange today, but I can safely say I rock the Dutch decent!

What an awesome football game today! I got to experience it in a room full of Orange and proper loud fans :)

It definitely made for a good experience.
