I don't know about all you new mothers-to-be out there, but I am terrified to give my baby her first bath!
I have done plenty of research of tubs and I felt I wanted to wash her in the sink at my level, where I can also dry her and have a better control without killing my back bending over the tub.
Then one day it came to me! The Puj tub was the answer I was looking for! With a quick snap of the magnets, your baby tub is put together and ready to chill in any size sink with one hand!
This is the lightest tub in the world; it is a flat piece of soft material that cradles the baby and is also excellent for storage. Not only is it safe, but it's hypoallergenic and anti-fungal/bacterial, because it is so quick to dry!
I have to add this video (below) to show how easy it is. I mean, I am still scared of bathing the little one, but this tub has given me a little more confidence that I will be capable of doing the job properly :D
You can buy it just about anywhere now, but I bought mine on the Canadian website Babybot!
Love that store, and it's free shipping!

Remembering Michael Jackson!
It was only a year ago today that Mr. Jackson, the king of pop, and a true inspiration to the world passed away. Even though I am crazy busy trying to set this house up in living order, I just wanted to take a moment to remember him and all of his awesomeness! It still makes me sad to think about it sometimes, but he is in a better place. :) Hope you're rocking the other side Michael!
We miss you! xoxo

New House and No Internet!
I'm just posting from my phone to say we are over at the new house now, and I'm not too sure when there will be my precious internet connection again, but I can update from here and hopefully post some pictures, if possible! :)

1st Anniversary and Father's Day!
It's our one-year anniversary today, and I thought it would be fitting to send in my picture of me in my dress to Sottero & Midgley (click to get to the actual page to read more).
I love my dress so much, and I know it's something I will look back at and still love for years to come. They don't actually make this style any more, so I had to pick the style closest to mine when I posted.
I guess after the work they put into making mine, they must have decided it was too much! Oh well, it's nice to see it's the only one on the site to date :)
Today, we went out to Hessenland (where we tied the knot) to have a Sunday brunch and to celebrate both Father's Day and our Anniversary Day. I remember last year, we also rocked a morning brunch the day after and had an insane turnout. It was truly a 3-day wedding at the beautiful Hessenland Country Inn!
We are pulling out the gluten-free cake and a few remaining pieces from the other tiers of the wedding cake from exactly a year ago today to enjoy.
I am a little torn to eat it, as I will be a little sad to let it go. Although - I still have the lovely sugar flowers that I can enjoy for life, so it's not too bad. :)
Happy Father's Day to all the fathers and fathers-to-be out there!

Kelis: 4th of July
"My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard" is what you are probably singing when you think of Kelis. That song was amazing back in it's day because I bought the single when I was in London, England a few years back. I still pump the instrumental version of this track from time to time ;)
Kelis is back with a new Album called "Flesh Tone" that will be released on July 6th 2010 in North America, but has already been released in the UK on May 17th of this year.
I am going to buy this album, after doing a little listening on YouTube, since my beloved "Spotify" is gone out the window since moving back to Canada where that wonderful program isn't supported. *sigh*
4th of July is an AMAZING song! I couldn't wait for the video, as I am feeling her soul and wanting to own that wonderful head dress ensemble that she sports throughout. I love Kelis and can't wait for the album to drop.
Will you be buying Kelis' new "Fleshtone" album?
Enjoy this video for 4th of July, below!

Cute Dog and Baby Play Together!
I've watched this video a few times now, thanks to Moxy lady! This clip never gets old to me. I love the dog in it, because although it's a shetland sheepdog, it reminds me of my first dog who was a boarder collie named Kelly. (Lassie dog) :)
Enjoy the giggles and laughter, below!

Flensted Mobiles!
I have been searching high and low for some sort of mobile that didn't look cheap, or something that was remotely nice, without ending up being a zillion dollars. I wanted the simplicity of a mobile to hang from the ceiling and not connected over the crib. The crib we bought actually has a canopy, but that will be for another post.
It's weird how all the things I am finding happen to be designed in Scandinavia, as these Flensted Mobiles were handmade in Denmark!
I believe that is what happens when you live in Norway for a while and of course have a Norwegian husband that has brought out a little bit of a minimalist in me :)
I kept these mobile beauties on my wish list for some time, and I finally got to witness them hanging in a store in Stratford a couple of weekends ago. I screamed "Flensted Mobiles!" (not really screamed) out of pure excitement.
The saleslady said they just got them in and hung them up. These mobiles are so lightweight, they are in constant motion with any breeze and are quite serene. They come in very simple colours that babies can enjoy and shades they can process as newborns. They also have an array of designs on their website as well.
I asked a couple of sales associates if they carried the "Circular Bunnies". They thought I was crazy, until they pulled out the product book, found them, and said they could get them in - but didn't know when. It's one of my favourite "walk in" stores, but the impatient girl that I am, I was on a mission to find them someplace else!
Fortunately I found them online, in Canada - and free shipping from my new favourite Canadian website Babybot.com. The whole package of their website is amazing and the parcel you receive comes with a super cute beaver sticker. I can't wait to purchase from them again, they were so awesome!
I found my grey-toned "Circular Bunnies" and it was $30 on the site and free shipping which I thought was an awesome deal. Here is a link where to buy a lot of the Flensted collection! You'll fall in love and so will your baby!
In fact, I love these so much, I wouldn't mind getting some really sweet mobile for the living room in a corner somewhere! Yeah... ;)
Here is the package that I am itchin' to open! The new house can't come soon enough! (less than two weeks!) :)

Boston Pizza Goes Gluten-Free!
I couldn't believe it when I laid eyes on the new Boston Pizza menu - that was changed just yesterday! I am waiting for my individually-sized pepperoni and mushroom pizza to come in from the kitchen as I write this. I am so excited! I will let you know how it tastes, but here is a picture for proof! Awesome!
UPDATE: I had a hard time placing any pictures in using iblogger, so I loaded a couple up from my iphone. The pizza was amazing! I bit into it and said "This tastes like REAL pizza!".
I am in love with the new menu. All my fellow Gluten-Free friends, go check it out! You won't be disappointed!

Mimijumi Baby Bottle!
I've been doing plenty of research and reading tons of reviews on these bottles, when finally, I went out and splurged on a couple of Mimijumi Very Hungry baby bottles!
I am in love! These 8 oz. bottles are ergonomically designed for proper feeding and wonderful for colic and super gassy little gaffers.
The nipple is nice and soft, emulating a real nipple as close as possible in colour and texture. I am going to breastfeed (or at least try really hard to), but these bottles will come in super handy when I am out and about, or just when I want to feed her water or watered down juice.
I must admit I was in love with the whole package of this baby bottle. They even have a removable no-skid bottom, making it easy to fill and attach the nipple with one hand. You can also buy three different flow rates as the baby gets older and can drink more - and quicker.
It comes in a really cute milk carton with this Japanese-styled milk drop, which has the happiest of smiles on the box. I will grab a couple more when the time comes, as these bottles don't come too cheap, at $20 dollars a bottle.
But, I think it will be well worth it. I can tell already!
You can check out more info about these BPA-free plastic bottled dreams and a list of stores to purchase them here.

My Lovely Trip to L.A!
(Here is an entry I made a few days ago, but after hearing about my dad and operation, I put this one on hold, but now I finished it, so here it goes!)
I can't wait to visit that wonderful place again! The things I didn't get to witness was the "Hollywood" sign... and the walk of stars. But, that gets too touristy for me, so next time I will check out all that good stuff along with museums and such :)
We spent our trip in beautiful West Hollywood, where we stayed at "The Farmer's Daughter" for a couple of nights at first. It is right across the street from the awesome "Farmer's Market" and the greatest grocery store around, called "Whole Foods Market", where they had LOADS of gluten-free products - I was in heaven! Everything in that store was organic and so organized! I could totally survive living there!
Oh! There was also another cool grocery store chain called "Trader Joe's". I actually just loved the packaging for popcorn and toilet paper, as if it was an old circus - with beautiful Victorian prints on the bags and all organic as well!
I even got a toothbrush made out of old recycled yoghurt containers! The coolest thing about that is - if you save the wrapping, you actually can send your toothbrush back, and they recycle it for new toothbrushes! They even had the "left-handed" toothbrush made out of old recycled 1 dollar bills. It was very interesting :)
While we stayed at the Farmer's Daughter, (TART is their restaurant with the best avocado California omelettes!) we walked over to the lovely "The Grove", in which I could easily live and work and spend my life. It was like the Disney World of shopping.
We made ourselves at home in the Barnes & Noble with my Green Tea Latte with Soy and good ol' Chelsea Handler, making me snort out what I just drank from silently laughing so hard.
We stopped in Venice Beach, whose southern part is also known as Muscle Beach - which was quite an experience. The best part of that place was also the cute bookstore where the owners left notes in the books of their favourites. They even had a cat walking around, rubbing up against his favorite books and jumping in his most coziest shelves :)
I loved that little guy :)
The reason why they actually have the name "Muscle Beach", is that there is actually a gym outside where you can watch these showoffs pumping iron. It brought on some good laughs. Good for them to perform their workout regimens so well ;)
That beach was beautiful though!
That night, we stayed at "The Andaz", which is located right by "Hotel Merimot" - the hotel of the stars. Expect they pay $600+ a night, while I get to sit 2 doors down, at a great hotel, for half of that :)
Although I would like to experience that hotel for one night and see who I can meet up with :)
The top picture was actually a sticker on the floor-to-ceiling window in our room at Andaz. I was in love with the decor of this place, and I will definitely stay there again!
We drove the best car of life (thank you to our friends for letting us borrow it!), where we got the most compliments at every stop-light. No joke.
It was a rare 1968 baby blue Ford Galaxy convertible. It was like riding a boat with the most comfortable seats!
I wish they made those seats for houses! So comfy and such a beautiful ride :)
Here is a picture while driving to Malibu beach, we stopped at a tasty Thai restaurant in pretty much the middle of nowhere - called "Cholada", where I also can't wait to eat again!
I even got to drink out of a young coconut with the best tasting, freshest of juices! Mmmmm... I loved Malibu, as it is very quiet beach, and very relaxing. :)
Shopping was lovely in LA as well! I loved the Beverly Hills Center and Nordstrom Racks, where I found some great Versace sunglasses for far less than half the original price. That store was the best find, ever!
I had to stop at Betsey Johnson where they had the prettiest, most wild looking store! I bought my big, black flower ring there. The experience was so fun, as they were offering the cutest cupcakes, strawberry juice and hot dogs because they were celebrating summer!
I just had the juice, but the hubby ate a cupcake for the both of us :)
As for other shopping, it was by respect to stop at "Moods of Norway", where they had this wonderful sample sale. So, everything in the upcoming fall collection, was at sale in the store for a quarter of the price (these were all samples in sizes small and medium, and they pretty much only had one of everything). Seriously! I got me some cute shoes, and shirts.
The store was beautiful as it had it signature gold tractor in the middle of it. I just love the whole package!
I say, if you are in the West Hollywood, Robertson St. area, to check out the store.
I sound like a crazy spending person, but this wasn't the case. That is all I bought and at extremely affordable prices. So if you go to LA to do some shopping, you can find a lot of beautiful things for cheap (and not knock-offs ;)
I can't wait to go back! Next time with my little girl so I can go buy her (me) an "American Girl" doll! ^_^!
I have wanted one forever... Seriously. :)
