Porcupine Tree - Trains!

Every time I hear this song, I just fall more in love with it. It's that yearning, homesick feeling. The writing is beautiful and I love the melody and the production. Good vibes that I wanted to share with you all. :)

Enjoy it, below!

My Love is Strong for Norway.

I still can't wrap my head around this tragedy. The photographs haunting my thoughts every second of the day. How can someone be so cruel and hainus to kill such innocent people and youth. My heart is so heavy while I pray for these Norwegian families as they have lost best friends, daughters and sons. It's been a solemn last couple of days in our household while my Norwegian in-laws have been here visiting.

Norway is such a beautiful country, and like me and many Norwegians could not ever fathom something as awful as this. I have had nightmares the times I am not lying awake and hoping it all was a bad dream.

Oslo, and the rest of Norway is such a wonderful place, and this injustice will not kill the Norwegians belief for a better world. They strongly belive in peace, as it is the home of the Nobel Peace Prize.

These unfortunate events will not destroy the people of Norway, if anything it will make them stronger.

I love you Norway. You are proudly my second home. :)

My Norwegian Family is Visiting!

I will try my best to make some updates this week, as it will be uber busy here at home. My brother is also getting married next weekend, which is pretty awesome!  It's also my birthday! Woot! I'll be 25 years young and pretty excited for it.

It will be nice to have my family home and all around me :)  For now, I am enjoying my new Norwegian flags as I can't wait to wave them around every 17th of May. :)

Much love!

I'm A Robot Repair Man - A Brilliant Backyardigan Song!

When The Backyardigans come on tv, you can usually catch me listening to their songs because they are so well written! They are auto-tuned to the max, but still! As a songwriter, the tunes are pretty catchy but in a cool, non-childish way.

I was so impressed with the lyrics and the composition of the song "I'm a Robot Repairman", I just had to post it! Don't you think it's pretty cool for a kids track? Don't judge me ;)

Enjoy!

Flying with a Baby or Little Kids? 15 Traveling Tips from Babyzone!

Found this water colour painting and love it!

Pretty good to read if you are flying with baby this Summer or in general. It was actually sort of weird as I was thinking about it and then I got an "bing!" in my email, only to read this creepy title that was on my mind. Google is wired to our brains! ;)You can click the link below to read more from Babyzone.

Enjoy!

Counting Down to Tori Amos' Night of Hunters Release!

This will be this ravishing redhead's 12th studio album - and it is quite the understatement to say I was merely excited to discover Tori Amos' album cover and track list!

Miss Amos said this about the new album, which will be released in September:

“It’s a 21st century song cycle inspired by classical music themes spanning over 400 years. I have used the structure of a song cycle to tell an ongoing, modern story. The protagonist is a woman who finds herself in the dying embers of a relationship. In the course of one night she goes through an initiation of sorts that leads her to reinvent herself allowing the listener to follow her on a journey to explore complex musical and emotional subject matter. One of the main themes explored on this album is the hunter and the hunted and how both exist within us.”

The track list also sounds so lovely!

1. "Shattering Sea"
2. "SnowBlind"
3. "Battle of Trees"
4. "Fearlessness"
5. "Cactus Practice"
6. "Star Whisperer"
7. "Job's Coffin"
8. "Nautical Twilight"
9. "Your Ghost"
10. "Edge of the Moon"
11. "The Chase"
12. "Night of Hunters"
13. "Seven Sisters"
14. "Carry"

Tori's music gets me through life - and as the fall approaches, you'll always find me streaming classical music from iTunes, as it helps me get through the days and up to Halloween (then I kick into Holiday music). Tori has always been there for me musically, and to hear it's inspired by classical music makes me even more pumped for this release!

This year she is also going on a world tour, and I HAVE to go.

Are you excited for the new Tori Amos album "Night of Hunters"?

I found John Galliano's Doppelgänger! Twin Peaks' BOB!

John Galliano (left) vs. Bob (right)

While admiring Kate Moss's wedding dress designed by John Galliano (a creative genius who I still love - regardless), I couldn't help but read about his trial.

As soon as I saw the courtroom sketches of John, all I could think about was his twin - separated at birth...

BOB from Twin Peaks! Don't you see the crazy resemblance? I actually was soooo scared looking up a picture of Bob, that I kept looking behind me as if he would hop over my couch in that famous freaky ass scene where Maddie has a vision that Bob is attacking her.

It's much scarier in concept once you get into the series to properly understand how in-depth and cool this is. One of the creepiest scene's of life.

Enjoy!
