Customizing at Etsy.com

If you’re planning a wedding and looking for something a little different when it comes to wedding jewelry, favors and decorations, consider Etsy.com.

I had Winnie from Hong Kong custom make me a beautiful bracelet (check the picture below) and earrings and necklaces for my bridesmaids. If you want to get creative and have über quality pieces made for less, I highly suggest checking out BijouxDJV.etsy.com. She even sent me a birthday gift … wonderful girl! “My pal!"

And yes – that’s another point to this. Anyone that has had a proper wedding probably knows that costs tend to run way higher than anyone planned – getting this cool stuff on Etsy.com gave me more to spend on flowers ;-)

The main theme for my wedding was peacocks (well – the main theme was old Victorian … but peacock feathers were intended to be a red thread throughout the wedding). All the bridesmaid’s bouquets had peacock feathers, mixed in with pastel colored roses. My own bouquet had pale peacock feathers I had on special order. Jenny Pickle on Etsy.com helped me create the ultimate Mrs. Peacock look, by making a headpiece that matched my bouquet completely. Check out her website at jennypickle.etsy.com.

Check out Etsy.com for anything unique and homemade. You can either buy the finished creations on there, if they fit your needs. Or – find what looks good and similar to what you want, contact the artist and work with that person to get a custom creation that you helped design! It’s such a creative outlet, even for the customer, and it was so much fun. Thank you again!
