Kelis: 4th of July

"My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard" is what you are probably singing when you think of Kelis. That song was amazing  back in it's day because I bought the single when I was in London, England a few years back. I still pump the instrumental version of this track from time to time ;)

Kelis is back with a new Album called "Flesh Tone" that will be released on July 6th 2010 in North America, but has already been released in the UK on May 17th of this year.

I am going to buy this album, after doing a little listening on YouTube, since my beloved "Spotify" is gone out the window since moving back to Canada where that wonderful program isn't supported. *sigh*

4th of July is an AMAZING song! I couldn't wait for the video, as I am feeling her soul and wanting to own that wonderful head dress ensemble that she sports throughout. I love Kelis and can't wait for the album to drop.

Will you be buying Kelis' new "Fleshtone" album?

Enjoy this video for 4th of July, below!

The "heat" effect concept was a nice touch to the location, and I want those feathers from the headdress.. lol Beat was bangin, too ;)

I always like the song "might trick me once....but I won't let you trick me twice" by kelis. Can't remember the title, but those were the words. :-)
And I always felt uncomfortable when I was driving in the car with one of my parents and the line "freedom to you has always been whoever landed on your d**k" was sung....

Mary Ann! That song was just called Trick Me. I loved that song too! The lyrics are OMG to the ears. But fantastic song. You should check out her song "Bossy" too!
