R.I.P Casper the Plymouth, England Cat!

It was a sad day to learn that one of my favorite stories from BBC news, which I wrote about a while ago, had a turn for the worst today. Unfortunately, our little Casper-the-bus-riding-Cat has passed away from a hit-and-run accident. There was also this saddening notice put up at Casper's regular bus stop:

"Many local people knew Casper, who loved everyone. He also enjoyed the bus journeys. Sadly a motorist hit him … and did not stop.

Casper died from his injuries. He will be greatly missed … he was a much-loved pet who had so much character. Thank you to all those who befriended him."

The bus driver who gladly shuttled Casper the cat around every day wrote this on a local website: "Hail to Casper the cat, I'll miss ya m8 ride in heaven."

I hope his new bus is tuna-filled and full of catnip and old friends that he may have lost in his life on earth. I will also miss Mr. Casper the Cat! Rest In Peace. Check out the original story of this one-of-a-kind cat here.

Peppe's Gluten-Free Pizza!

This evening I steered away from the usual Dolly Dimple's gluten-free pizza to fill my face with Peppe's. It's so nice to walk into a restaurant and get fresh gluten-free anything or be able to have options off of the starters or appetizers list.

I heard that Svein Erik Renaa was rebuilding and changing up some things on their menu. I talked about his lovely restaurant not too long ago here.

I saw a couple of new items, but I wasn't too sure whether I got anything of his creation. At any rate, I really wish they focused more on the things he contributed to the menu - at least to begin with, to promote it a little better. I am a fan, but I was a little sad that I wasn't opening a cooler food list or something. They have been blasting it on the commercials like crazy here so I don't see why to stop the promotion there.

Upon searching up the pizza logo I came across a Peppe's Pizza "Pizza Bud" iPhone app that allows you to add the Peppe's internal delivery personnel. You get to a log-in screen where you also review your order before you sign and send! I want this!

This would be the worst drunk dial service for anyone - and for me, if I wasn't pregnant. Or maybe I will use this service more than ever now, who knows. I might accidentally need a crazy pizza grease fix and can't decide between 2 or 3 pizzas and end up ordering 23. Perhaps I could sign for a company discount if I ordered that much. Either way, I like this app and I love the pizza.

Just wish they promoted my new favorite cook a little more on the new menu, at least for another 6 months. :)

Meet Tobias: The Cute Blue Bicolour Ragdoll Cat!

This is my ragdoll cat named Tobias! He is so adorable that he makes my dark Norwegian winter days here a little brighter. I thought of filming him playing and attempting to destroy his red mouse toy. He is silent (most of the time), but deadly! ;)

Enjoy him in all of his cuteness, below!

Top Secret! Funniest Movie Ever!

If you like the "Airplane" series or "Naked Gun", then you will fall in love with this 1984 movie "Top Secret" starring Val Kilmer. This guy is such a dream-boat in this movie, not to mention he actually sang all of the parodie songs in the movie himself! I think he was the Rob Pattinson of his time after seeing this. He is an American singer in the movie and I am now officially crazy, crushing over his dance moves and dreamy hair in the flick. This movie is hilarious. I didn't stop laughing the whole time! I found one of my favourite parts is the cow scene on youtube. If you haven't seen this flick, I highly suggest a watch and guarantee you'll have shizah-loads of laughs!

Check out a preview below!

We are having a Baby!

SO, some of you know that we are expecting this September, but for those who don't know ... well, now you do! I didn't even post anything yesterday, as I was way too tired to do so - and it seems to take extra extra efforts to do simple tasks during this first trimester, but things are going well :D

The whole idea is somewhat surreal still, as you don't get to go for your first scan until Week 18 here in Norway, but by that time I might be in Canada, so who knows what happens!

We are extremely excited (and I'm somewhat more terrified than ever). I have started a baby blog called "Hunnie Bunnie Babies!", which I will update when I can. I am hoping once a week and now that people know, it will be a lot easier to write there :D

I will talk about everything from how I am feeling, to cool baby must-haves for the modern mom. Just so I don't kill everyone on this blog with that stuff ;)

So I hope you stop by and read my other blog as I go through all the steps of how I feel and everything baby at my other new project.

Fifth Gear = My New Favourite Show!

So, it seems odd, but every time I sit down to watch the television, Fifth Gear comes on - and I get to see the coolest, funniest car show on the British block! I can't get enough of this crew, as they race eachother and test and do solid reviews on new and old cars comparatively.

I have a mad crush on the oldest guy, Tiff Needell, as he has the jolliest of smiles - like a kid in a candy shop - while he drifts in his favourite rides. I felt their site was quite helpful with adequate car reviews. If you are looking to buy something, I highly recommend watching this show and checking the page out!

Here is a video of Tiff Needell reviewing our old Mazda RX8 before we sold it last summer (as we knew we would be moving soon and this particular car would surely be easier to sell in the summer). It was a sweet ride and we miss it. I called her the Black Widow! Watch his review below!

Linda Ronstadt : Heartbeats Accelerating

I can't believe this gem of a song/video isn't featured on Youtube. This is probably the only Linda Ronstadt song I love, and I've done so ever since I was a young child - as she painted a picture of what my prince charming should be like.

I found the video again, and I am still in love with it, just like the first time I saw it on tv back in 1993. This song was on her first pop album since 1974 ("Heart like a Wheel"), with this song being featured on the album "Winter Light".

I loved Linda Ronstadt in Trio with Dolly Parton and Emmy Lou Harris. They made some wicked, solid tracks, which I love to listen to in the spring/summer months, in particular.

I was always taken by the track "Heartbeats Accelerating" with the haunting "Love, love here can you be?". This video was so enchanting to me. I still love it! Enjoy this classic below.

Gluten-Free Almondy Dessert!

I am in love with the Swedes. Not only do they offer the hot Skarsgaard family (Alexander and his brother from the movie Garden State), they offer the best gluten-free treats. The latest and greatest addition to the list of goodies, is brought to you by Almondy!

This almond crust wonderfully mimics a real rich crust. I purchased the one with Norwegian Freia chocolate, but they have so many choices! They also seem to tailor their products to each country - with local toppings.

You can check out the UK site and see for yourselves! My taste buds are quite ecstatic! I definitely approve and I tell all you lovely gluten-free folk and non gluten-free alike; you'll all enjoy this treat!

Marina and the Diamonds Take Hollywood Acoustic Style!

I am in love with this song, as I wrote about it quite some time ago. I found Marina and the Diamonds do an amazing acoustic version of her track "Hollywood", and I must say she does remind me of vintage Catherine Zeta Jones, appearance-wise.

Check out her acoustic and brilliant version of "Hollywood" below. This girl is gonna blow up this year!

I can't wait for her album release of "The Family Jewels" to be released on February 15th 2010. Do you think you'll buy a copy?

Best Peter Pan School Production ... Ever!

And I wasn't even around to witness such wonderfulness. I thought it was sad when the first part happens, but it gets a little better - with a little extra pixie dust! I feel for these kids but the crowd is easy to please!

Watching school plays always made me nervous, as I know exactly how these kids felt, going on stage.

Enjoy Greenport's Peter Pan Fiasco below! (I wish I was there! Seriously)
