McDonald's Gluten-Free Buns in North America?

Well, I got a reply back from McDonald's concerning my inquiry about gluten-free alternatives at their restaurants in North America. It's quite vague in my opinion and I felt they didn't really answer our question.

They didn't have a Canadian site, so I had to email the USA HQ. I am pretty sure it would take as many years to get a proper answer from the right people running McDonald's as it would take a message to come back to us from another universe.

This is the answer I got about Gluten-free bread available in North America:

"Hello Elle:

Thanks for your interest in McDonald's menu.

McDonald's no longer maintains a list of products that are considered gluten free. We do, however, provide extensive nutrition and ingredient information for our nationally offered menu product on our website. We update the information on our website (http://www.mcdonalds.com/usa/eat.html) frequently as we receive new information from our product suppliers. We encourage you to read our ingredient statements and make personal decisions that meet your specific dietary needs.

Again, thank you for contacting McDonald's and we hope to have the opportunity to serve you again soon.

McDonald's Customer Response Center"

And there you have it. Don't worry over there; until they find a way to bring the buns over, enjoy looking like a million bucks like these two Ronald wannabe's...

Oh those brilliant Japanese folk! I know a good cosplay costume when I see one! Anyone know where they serve up these outfits and "Run Lola Run" red hair? ;)

Elle
